Disabling Startup Items

The following steps will help you enable/disable startup items, third party software, CA conflicting startups and probable infections on startup during the process of troubleshooting.

1. Go to Start > Run > type msconfig > click OK.
2. Click on the Startups tab across the top
3. Uncheck all items you do not want to start when your computer boots into the desktop.
4. Click on Apply and then on OK.
5. Click Restart Computer or Exit Without Restart to restart later. (Restarting computer will help you see the changes)
