The long method for older versions:
- Make a note of the path of the file (or folder) which you do not want to scan for viruses.
- On the CA Anti-Virus window, click on Options on the left.
- Click on Modify against On-demand Scanner.
- Click on Add.
- Click on Browse.
- Go to the file location that you noted in step 1 and click OK.
- Click OK again.
The file will not be scanned by the CA Anti-virus to check for infections any more.
